Terms of Business
When committing to any funeral arrangements with ourselves you are confirming that payment in full will be made within 21 days of the day that the funeral will be carried out.
You should be aware that as the person signing any provided estimate you are making yourself wholly liable for the payment of the final invoice amount in total. You should consider this point very carefully before signing any estimate provided.
From time to time we may request a deposit, or that payment in full is made, prior to any work being undertaken. If this is necessary we will discuss this with you prior to any agreement to carry out funeral services has been reached.
In the case of a direct Cremation or Burial it will be necessary for payment to be made in full at the time of making the arrangements.
By meeting with us to discuss your requirements for funeral services you are in no way committed to using our company to carry out the funeral and may terminate our involvement at any time. It will be necessary to pay any incurred costs at that point for services you have already instructed us to complete.
We are happy to provide a temporary storage service for cremated remains while a decision is made regarding their long term resting or dispersal. After an initial 6 month period if the cremated remains are still in our care we will make a charge for their ongoing storage. Please see our Additional Options Price List for the current costs.
These charges are made on a per year or part year basis and will be invoiced in April of each year. If an invoice for Cremated Remains is unpaid for a period of 90 days or more and we are unable to make contact with you we may elect to return them to the Crematorium where the Cremation took place for dispersal in their gardens of remembrance.
Penalty Interest
Where an Invoice for Funeral Services remains unpaid, without prior consent from ourselves, after the 21 days has expired we retain the right to charge penalty interest and debt recovery charges as appropriate.
Any penalty interest applied to an outstanding account will be at the rate of the current Bank of England Base Rate plus 5%.
